It is FRESH – sea buckthorn cold-stirred
It was probably the grandmother of SANDICCA co-founder and husband Gabriel Kroisleitner who provided the impetus for the now-patented cold-stirring process. As early as the late 1950s, she had made cold-stirred raspberry jam for her five children. It was never heated; instead, as the name suggests, it was stirred cold. The result was a wonderfully fruity taste. The cold-stirring process developed by SANDICCA and now patented in Austria and Germany follows a similar approach, albeit at a considerably lower temperature.
Innovation leadership through years of research and development
As is well known, the path from an idea to a finished innovation is a long one. The same applies to SANDICCA Bio-Seabuckthorn Fresh Elixir +C. In close consultation with the Agency for Health and Food Safety (AGES) as well as national and international research institutions, the foundation for Austria’s first fresh food supplement was laid over approximately 2 ½ years. By definition, the two SANDICCA founders understand this to mean using raw, namesake ingredients, deliberately distinguishing their product from conventional food supplements. These are all thermally heated before being brought to market in powder form, in capsules, or dissolved in liquid. We are only at the beginning with our fresh food supplement line, says SANDICCA founder Tanja Kroisleitner. Further fresh food supplements have already been developed and will be launched on the market over the next 12 months.

Since the beginning of March 2019, the SANDICCA Bio-Seabuckthorn Fresh Elixir +C has been available throughout Austria at all 46 branches of the drugstore chain Martin Reformstark. Further distributors include the Augustinus Pharmacy in Vorau, selected pharmacies in Vienna, hotels in the Styrian Joglland region—the home of the SANDICCA sea buckthorn gardens—and Bad Blumau Thermal Spa.
