Sea buckthorn berries

Shimmering beacon of light

Sea buckthorn berries ripen in late summer and, under the influence of the sun, develop their diverse range of substances – essential nutrients for the human body. The pea-sized, oval, typically orange-red fruits are harvested in autumn before the first frost. The pulp has a thin, mushy consistency and tastes tart and aromatic.

Small “berry” – great power

These small fruits pack a punch. Their pulp is a true powerhouse of healthy ingredients. This is enhanced by the storage of solar energy, meaning that consuming sea buckthorn berries, especially during periods of low light, helps support the body’s natural vitality.

Exceptionally high vitamin C content

The list of substances contained in sea buckthorn berries is long. Sea buckthorn berries have an unusually high vitamin C content. Depending on the variety, this ranges from 150 to 900 mg per 100 g of pulp. The characteristics of the sea buckthorn plant can thus be attributed to its ability to have a positive influence on the body and well-being, such as supporting the immune system.
