Sea buckthorn leaves

Green Powerhouse

Harvesting sea buckthorn leaves for First Flush quality is laborious and requires the utmost care and attention. They are harvested by hand, leaf by leaf, to avoid damaging the plants and to ensure the complete preservation of the high-quality substances.

The sea buckthorn’s leaves, which are between four and eight centimetres long and arranged alternately, have short stalks and appear willow-like and lance-shaped. The grey-green upper surface of the leaf has a smooth edge and is covered on the inside with star-shaped hairs, while the whitish underside is densely covered with shield hairs. These regulate the plant’s water balance.

Unique Quality

Sea buckthorn leaves can supply the human body with essential nutrients that it cannot produce itself. They contain rich, nutrient-dense and highly effective components.

A nutritious and invigorating tea can be brewed from the dried leaves. It is characterised by a stimulating fragrance and a pleasant aroma.
